Whitney is a self-taught artist who has been working with pencils since the time she could pick one up. She has been painting on canvas for less than two years, but you can’t tell that. Her work is stunning. Her passion for animals, especially horses, comes she believes from growing up on a farm in Oregon. Check out her website at

March Exhibition: Youth Show

Be amused, be amazed, be in awe with ArtSpot Gallery’s March exhibition of artwork from high school students throughout Valley County. Students’ artwork from Glasgow, Hindsdale, Opheim, and Fraser reminds us of the endless possibilities of art through the youthful eye. Colorful paintings, drawings, geometric work, prints, hand thrown pottery, and paper mosaics are just a few of the works that will be on display.


Toni and Laura from ArtSpot are very excited about inviting area students to participate in this annual event! It is a fabulous opportunity for students interested in art to show work and their friends and family to see how talented they are. The Artists’ Reception will give students the opportunity to visit with and respond first hand to art enthusiasts.


The Artists’ Reception for the Student Show will be on Friday, March 6th from 4-7 pm. Please join in celebrating the students and their work at this time. The Reception is free, open to the public, and snacks will be served.

Betty Stone and Ev Bergeron show in February

Sisters Betty and Ev share the February show. Both are talented artists who work primarily in water color. The show's paintings span from landscapes to still lifes. Enjoy a great sandwich and check out the deli's new menu items this month while you take in great local art.

October Artist: Leith DeWeese

Leith has been a math and art teacher for over 30 years in three states (she currently teaches at the Opheim Public School). Her mediums of choice include acrylics, colored pencil, clay, silver, and stone. She has exhibited across the country and will be the February 2009 artist at the James Memorial Gallery in Williston, North Dakota.
