July First THURSDAY!

July Artist Reception at the ArtSpot Gallery
Thursday, July 3rd from 3-6 pm

Soma-Dis Deli open until 6 pm

Due to the festivities in Glasgow this week, the July Open House at the ArtSpot Gallery will be this THURSDAY, July 3rd from 3-6 pm. Join us in celebrating the work of Barbara Hansen, a talented Glasgow painter.

The ArtSpot Gallery is located in the mezzanine of the Soma-Dis Deli in Glasgow. Usually closed by 4 pm, the Soma-Dis Deli will be open until 6 pm this Thursday during Barbara’s Reception so you can purchase your favorite sandwich or dessert after taking in the art.

“Painting has been my hobby for many years, so what you see here is a sampling of my work dating back as far as the late 1960s,” Barbara says. She uses acrylics and oils to create her paintings.

“With the exception of some of the pieces which were class projects, I mainly paint from photographs I have taken while hiking in the badlands, mountains, and desert. I find that I can relive wonderful trips and experiences by creating a painting of a particular place.”

The Reception is free and open to the public. For questions concerning the Artist Reception on July 3rd, showing your artwork during the Community Show in December, or to purchase any of Barbara’s work please contact either Laura Gittings-Carlson at 526-7262, Toni Marie LaGree at 228-9072, or email artspotgallery@gmail.com. Visit us at http://www.artspotgallery.blogspot.com/ to learn more about upcoming shows and how to get your work in the gallery.

Enjoy the show!
